If you are looking to do activities Tarifa or Algeciras, you will discover that there are a million possible sports alternatives, from water activities to terrestrial activities.
The Strait is a corridor between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic, which acts as a wind accelerating channel and also as a meteorological barrier, that is, on the same day the weather conditions are different on both sides of the strait. Almost always we will have more intensity of wind on one side than on the other and it may be that one side is cloudy or raining but not the other side.
Meteorology is a key factor when organizing activities Tarifa and Algeciras, nobody likes to organize their vacations and stay thrown by bad conditions, fortunately, the Strait of Gibraltar allows you to eliminate that risk by changing from one side to another.
In Velair we are very concerned that the activities contracted in Tarifa or Algeciras can be carried out and finalized and we always look for the best conditions, which is why our policy is to be permanently on both sides of the Strait and since 2015 we have a small school in Valdevaqueros, Tarifa, and in Getares, Algeciras; both separated by only 20 kilometers away. We also organize rentals and kayak routes or stand up paddle from the Punta Carnero Lighthouse, a special, unknown and very private place within the Natural Park of the Strait.
We have a wide range of activities in Tarifa and Algeciras, we are simple, serious and very flexible depending on the needs of our customers, with us you can learn and practice surf, windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddle or kayaks continuously during your vacation. We also offer other alternatives to sea sports, such as visits to the natural parks of the Strait and the Alcornocales in 4×4, hiking or combined and even routes of Ornithology
